Attachments & Mentions
File attachments
Section titled “File attachments”You can attach files to your messages in Pilot Chat. This is useful for providing context like:
- Screenshots of bugs or desired designs
- Configuration files
- Error logs
- Reference documents
How to attach files
Section titled “How to attach files”- Click the attachment button in the chat input area
- Select a file from your device
- The file is uploaded and included with your message
Attached files are stored in Cloudflare R2 and referenced in the conversation. Pilot can read and analyze attachments to better understand your request.
@Mentions
Section titled “@Mentions”Use @ mentions to reference specific items in your conversation.
Mentioning team members
Section titled “Mentioning team members”Type @ followed by a team member’s name to reference them in a message.
Mentioning tasks
Section titled “Mentioning tasks”Reference existing tasks by typing @ and searching for the task name. This helps Pilot understand connections between work items.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”When you type @, a dropdown appears with matching suggestions filtered as you type. Select a suggestion to insert the mention into your message.
